2024 One World Middle School Challenges

Since early February, at UNCF, One World students have been working intensely on essays, stage presentations, and poster boards, all on social justice topics that matter to them. With support from Learn24, we have also launched our first “Academy Hub” at Friendship SE PCS in Ward 8, serving 20 additional students who might otherwise not enjoy access to afterschool programming.

So get ready for two One World Challenges! In the first culminating showcase, on April 10th, students from Friendship SE will present their social justice research findings and solutions to their communities while competing for scholarship awards and a chance to move on to the citywide competition on April 26th. Join us to see why the One World Challenge is one of the city’s preeminent education events, regularly featured in the Washington Post.

See the 4/26/24 program!
