One World Education is thrilled to announce that we were recently selected by Fair Chance as a host site for two AmeriCorps VISTA Fellows, who will join us at the end of August for one year of service to support various initiatives pertaining to development, communications, program management, and evaluation.
Fair Chance leverages the power of community-based organizations to transform lives by partnering with promising, youth-serving nonprofits and providing them with free, comprehensive expertise in organizational management for up to two years. As a 2009 graduate of this renowned program, One World Education is eligible to participate in a variety of supplementary activities geared toward alumni. The Fair Chance AmeriCorps VISTA Fellows Program is one of these initiatives, matching VISTA volunteers with a select cohort of Fair Chance’s alumni organizations to support their capacity-building efforts.
We are grateful to Fair Chance and the Corporation for National and Community Service, which oversees AmeriCorps VISTA on a national level, for this exciting opportunity, and are looking forward to welcoming our VISTA Fellows next month.
