They spoke about issues shaping their lives and their communities, and they did it with confidence, clarity, and purpose.

Now, we’re building on that momentum.
Today, we’re launching our Graduation Campaign, with a goal of raising $100,000 by June 30.
We’re already part of the way there—$46,300 raised so far—and right now, your impact can go even further.
Thanks to the generosity of the One World Board, a $12,500 matching gift is now live through June 4.
Every dollar you give will be doubled, helping us reach more students in the year ahead.
What your support makes possible:
- $25 can help provide hot meals so students can fully participate in our afterschool program
- $50 can help cover transportation so students can get to our afterschool program safely and consistently
- $250 can support the educators who guide students through our program
Moments like the Challenge don’t happen on their own.
They’re built week by week—through writing, feedback, revision, and the support of a community that believes students’ ideas matter.
And right now, we’re working to reach even more students.
Next year, we plan to:
- open a third One World Academy East of the River, expanding access for students in some of DC’s most underserved communities
- serve students on more days each week, increasing the consistency and depth of our afterschool program
- secure a dedicated space to support this growth and better serve our students
