Desiree works alongside some of the best teachers in the district to implement One World’s rigorous, student-centered curriculum. She is an award-winning educator, writer, activist, and advocate for LGBT youth. She was named Educator of the Year by the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network and received the Next Generation Leadership Award by Metro Weekly Magazine. Desiree currently composes curricular resources and infuses technology through the Curricular Innovations fellowship and is a winner of the Teach for America Alumni Excellence Award in Teaching.
