The One World Education Supporter of the Month for December is The Washington Examiner. Distributed Sunday-Friday,  it is read by more than 1 million people in print and online each week. It provides readers with a free, comprehensive local, national, and world news report.

We value The Washington Examiner's support and are proud to have them as one of our major partners.

If you have – or know of – interested girls ages 11 to 18, then don't miss The Washington Examiner's Girls World Expo, a one-day event held on Saturday, January 5th at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

The Girls World Expo features exhibitors, music, live entertainment, and seminars – like "Are you too plugged in," "Love the Skin you're in," "Fearless Females," and more – plus an art and science show, Play it Safe self-defense, fashion show, and an online safety lounge.

The Washington Examiner will also honor its 10 selected 2012 Girls of Merit winners. Girls were nominated if they were thought to have proved themselves exceptional members of the community, based on their actions, activities, leadership, and their positive influence on others. Nominations were submitted by members of the community, including parents, teachers, counselors, mentors, nonprofit organization leaders, and others.
