One World Education is pleased to announce that it was a recipient of two DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities FY 2018 grants. The Arts Education Program is designed to support in and out-of-school time arts and humanities projects for children and youth in pre-school through high school. The most recent edition of the prestigious English Journal, the flagship publication of the National Council of Teachers of English, features an article about the One World Program, Argumentative Writing and the Common Core in the DCPS: A Qualitative Analysis of Student and Teacher Perceptions, which discusses the perceptions of students and teachers who have participated. The 2017 College & Career Senior Challenge was the culminating event for the 2,300 DC seniors who completed the One World Program this year, where they strengthened their research, writing, and presentation skills and produced argumentative essays on self-chosen college and career issues.
