OWEd Program Overview
One World Education works with students and teachers in schools and communities through its two signature programs:
OWEd Programming:
The One World Curriculum begins with youth-written primary sources about personal experiences with culture and local and global issues. Professional teachers align the student writing with an engaging and interdisciplinary curriculum to return student learning outside of school back to classrooms to teach other students.
The One World Curriculum:
- Promotes and Improves Literacy
- Teaches 21st Century Skills
- Celebrates Peer-to-Peer Learning
- Offers Global Action Extension Activities
- Includes Language Arts, Social Studies, Math and Science lesson plans
Culture & Global Issues Reflection Contest:
Middle and high school students submit writing about experinces with culture, loval and global issues. Twelve student annually become One World Ambassadors and have their writing published on our websites with aligned One World Curriculum, allowing students to learn from their peers.
