Eric Goldstein, Executive Director & Founder
Eric has been an educator in public, charter and independent schools and earned a United States Department of the Interior Partners in Education Award while teaching in Southeast Washington, DC in 2006. He has led learning programs for American students in Greece and Zambia and participated in educator programs in China, Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Eric expanded One World Education from his classroom into a non-profit organization in 2007 to grow the program’s impact to more students and educators.
His role in leadership originated while serving as Senior Class President at Oneonta State College before earning a Master's in Education from the University of Vermont. Since 1998, Eric has served as the President of the JAG Foundation and served on the Vermont Sierra Club board of directors from 2001-2005. His career in education started after a solo, 5,000-mile bicycle trip across the United States that raised $30,000 for different organizations in 1999. He is currently enrolled in the Master's of International Policy Program at George Washington University.
Rachel Zukowski, Program Director
Rachel has always held a strong interest in cultural, global and educational issues. She studied Anthropology and Psychology at the University of Virginia, where she volunteered as a reading tutor and helped improve the homes of the elderly and disabled. After earning her Master's in Education from George Washington University, Rachel taught several grade levels, tutored all subjects, and coached cross country in DC area public and independent schools for over eight years. She has a passion for educational research and curriculum development that promotes improved literacy for students. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and exploring the city.
Scott Davison, Marketing Director
As the One World Education Marketing Director, Scott brings an enthusiasm and passion for fundraising in the non-profit field. Before joining One World Education, he was a consultant for non-profit organizations assisting them with reaching fundraising goals. Scott is also currently a board member with the Prevention of Blindness Society, based in Washington, DC, which helps indigent families afford eye care and provides free glaucoma screenings. Scott attended Randolph-Macon College just outside of Richmond where he studied Political Science and English Literature. He is now completing his Master's in Nonprofit Management at University of Maryland University College. In his spare time, Scott enjoys playing basketball, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
Leith Mondry, Development Director
Leith has long had an interest in working to improve social systems, getting an AB in Sociology from Bryn Mawr College and an MSW from SUNY Stony Brook, School of Social Welfare. Over the years her career path has ranged from direct social work to research and website management to editing a parenting website. Leith is glad to be back in the non-profit sector and excited to be part of One World Education’s vision of improved student literacy and a better educational experience for teachers and students alike. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, as well as reading, exploring DC, and traveling around the world.
